Discovery Of The Lymphatic System In The Brain May Help Us Better Understand Brain Health.

Surprise surprise, your brain has a lymphatic system! If you're not surprised because you have never even heard of the lymphatic system here is why the science world is shocked and why this new understanding of the brain could really help some people.

Until very recently scientists thought the brain was completely void of the lymphatic system, even though the rest of the human body completely relies on it. Knowing about how the lymphatic system in the brain works may help you keep inflammation down, brain health up, and in the future help scientists cure neuroinflammatory diseases.

The lymphatic system is one of two major circulatory systems in the body. It transports lymph, a fluid containing infection-fighting white blood cells throughout the boy and helps rid the body of toxins and waist. As the educational, The Truth About Cancer website said, "A poorly functioning lymphatic system is a risk factor for the development of cancer and other chronic diseases."

The lymphatic system is most associated with immune system health, and until now was believed to not to even be a part of the brain. "These results could fundamentally change the way we think about how the brain and immune system inter-relate," said Walter J. Koroshetz, M.D., NINDS director in an interview with Science Daily. The article said researchers are planning on investigating whether the lymphatic system works "differently in patients who have multiple sclerosis or other neuroinflammatory disorders."

We already knew how fluid entered the brain we just didn't understand how it and waist came out, unlike with all our other organs which clearly use the lymphatic system, the brain did not show clear signs. So, until now, how the brain got rid of waist and inflammation was a magical mystery.

But the real question for us lucky enough not to have any neuroinflammatory disorders is, does this discovery now mean you can actually effect your brain health by working on your lymphatic system? Science daily didn't say, but if they are looking into seeing how the lymphatic condition effects these disorders then I'm willing to bet it does. For those ready to take on brain or lymphatic system health, The Truth About Cancer has a list of 10 ways you can improve your lymphatic systems health.

The list includes perspiration and or exercise which helps relieve the lymphatic system by stirring the circulatory system and releasing the toxins built up in the muscles and lymphatic system.
Here's to health discoveries helping us figure out more ways to take care of our health and find cures for mysterious diseases.
